Infringement Notices

A written notice must contain:

1. The claimant's physical or electronic signature;

2. Identification of the copyrighted work or a representative list;

3. The precise location and TextCorn URL of the allegedly infringing material;

4. The claimant's name, postal address, telephone number and email;

5. A statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized; and

6. A statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and the claimant is the owner or authorized agent.

Incomplete notices may be delayed or rejected. TextCorn may remove or disable material, notify the uploader, request information and forward the notice, including supplied contact information, to the uploader.

Counter-Notifications

A counter-notification must contain:

1. A physical or electronic signature;

2. Identification of the removed material and its former location;

3. A statement under penalty of perjury that removal resulted from mistake or misidentification;

4. Name, address, telephone and email;

5. Consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate United States Federal District Court; and

6. Agreement to accept service of process from the claimant or the claimant's agent.

Where the applicable DMCA procedure is available, TextCorn may restore material between 10 and 14 business days after forwarding a valid counter-notification unless notified that legal proceedings have been filed.

Repeat Infringers

TextCorn maintains a policy providing for termination, in appropriate circumstances, of repeat infringers. TextCorn may consider the number, recency, severity and reliability of notices, counter-notices and judicial decisions. Serious or deliberate infringement may result in immediate termination.

Knowingly making material misrepresentations may create legal liability.
