1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to TextCorn. By accessing, downloading, or using our website, platform, application interface, or Discord integrations (collectively, the "Service"), you represent that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service (these "Terms").

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and TextCorn. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you are strictly prohibited from using the platform and must discontinue access immediately.

2. Eligibility & Age Restrictions

You must be at least 18 years of age to access, register, or use the Service. TextCorn features content and stories that may be mature or adult in nature. By logging in or verifying your age, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.

If we learn that we have collected personal data from a person under 18 years of age, we will immediately delete that information and terminate the associated account.

3. Account Security and Authentication

TextCorn utilizes Discord OAuth for secure, password-free user registration and login. You are responsible for keeping your Discord credentials safe. All activity that occurs under your TextCorn account handle is your sole responsibility.

You agree to notify us immediately at support@textcorn.app if you suspect any unauthorized access, breach, or compromise of your account.

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to suspend or terminate accounts that use offensive, hateful, or misleading handles, engage in spam, or impersonate other individuals or entities.

4. User-Generated Content (UGC) License & Ownership

Writers retain full copyright, intellectual property rights, and ownership of original stories, dialogue text, custom characters, and plot designs created and published on TextCorn.

By publishing, sharing, or uploading content to TextCorn, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, copy, transcode, translate, format, index, cache, publicly perform, display, and distribute your content across our web interface, applications, and Discord bots.

You represent and warrant that you own all rights in your UGC or possess the necessary licenses, permissions, and consents to distribute it. You agree not to upload content that infringes upon third-party copyrights, trademark rights, or proprietary privileges.

5. Content Gating & Discord Access Control

Creators may lock or gate access to their stories, chapters, or specific channels using CornBot (our Discord bot integration). Gating functions check Discord guild membership and server roles using your linked Discord credentials.

You acknowledge that server membership, subscription status, and role assignments are managed by the individual server admins or external platforms (like Patreon) and that TextCorn has no control over server configurations, kicks, bans, or channel moderation within Discord.

6. Acceptable Use and Platform Abuse

You agree not to: (a) Use any scrapers, crawlers, indexers, or other automated mechanisms to download, copy, or monitor stories; (b) Artificially inflate follower counts, ratings, comments, or reaction statistics using bots or coordinated activity; (c) Post malicious scripts, viruses, or spam; (d) Harass, stalk, threaten, or abuse creators, staff, or other users; and (e) Circumvent gating requirements or access controls.

7. Limitations of Liability & Warranty Disclaimers

TextCorn is provided on an 'AS IS' and 'AS AVAILABLE' basis without representations or warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not screen, monitor, or verify all user-generated texting stories. We assume no responsibility or liability for offensive, inappropriate, or illegal content posted by users, nor for any loss or damage resulting from your use of the platform.

In no event shall TextCorn, its developers, or affiliates be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising out of your inability to access the platform, server outages, or content deletions.
